Delete your Ego account

You can delete your Ego account and the data linked to it at any time, from the app or by email. This page is provided by Ego Stream, the developer of Ego.

Delete in the app

  1. Open Ego and sign in to the account you want to delete.
  2. Go to Me → Settings → Account & Security.
  3. Tap Delete Account, read the notice, agree and confirm.
Before deleting, use or withdraw any remaining balance. Your account balance and backpack must be empty, and you cannot be an agency owner or an admin, before the request can go through.

Request by email

If you can no longer open the app, email [email protected] from the email address or phone number linked to your account, with the subject "Delete my account" and your user ID. We may ask you to confirm you own the account before we delete it.

60-day recovery period

Your account is deactivated as soon as you confirm. It stays recoverable for 60 days: signing back in during that time cancels the request and restores your account. After 60 days the deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

What gets deleted

  • Your profile: nickname, photos, bio and other profile details.
  • Your login details and linked sign-in accounts.
  • Your posts, uploads, messages and followers.
  • Membership, permissions, levels and badges.
  • Any diamonds, items, rewards or balance left in the account. These are lost and cannot be refunded.

What we may keep

We keep some information after deletion only where we need it for legal, tax, accounting, fraud prevention or safety reasons, for example purchase and payout records, and records of serious policy violations. Messages you sent to other people may stay in their conversations. This information is kept securely and only for as long as required.
